Abuja - The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has threatened to pass a vote of no-confidence on the Independent National Election Commission (INEC,), reports Premium Times.
This follows comments by the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, that the electoral body was now in possession of his newly acquired secondary school certificate.Also read: Cambridge University clears Buhari over alleged forged WASC result
Femi Fani-Kayode, Director of Publicity of the PDP Presidential Campaign Organisation , who addressed a press conference in Abuja, on Wednesday, said Buhari’s utterances suggested that he had recently transmitted the documents to INEC well after the stipulated time allowed by law.
He stated that Buhari’s statement, suggesting that INEC now had his documents was belated and shocking, even though he had not been specific about the documents with the electoral body.
