Osun - The People's Democratic Party court application to
nullify the elections that were held in Osun State by the
Independent National Electoral Commission in April 2011, Punch reported.
According to the PDP, INEC had conducted the elections in
the state of which all seats were won by the All Progressive Party. The PDP
were aggrieved by the outcomes of the elections and approached the court to

They took the Resident Electoral Commissioner in Osun State,
Rufus Akeju, to court as they sought for the outcomes to be reversed by him.
Justice, Babs Kaewumi, dismissed the application which was
made by the PDP and further stated that only such orders should be given by the
Election Petitions Tribune.
