Parties deny endorsing Buhari

Abuja - Two out of the thirteen opposition parties that reportedly pledged allegiance to the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari to enable him win the March 28 presidential election has denied been part of the endorsement, reports Premium Times.

The parties are Independent Democrats (ID) and United Progressives Party (UPP).

The two parties in different press statements on Thursday denied  pledging support for Buhari in the March 28 presidential election.

While UPP stated that Chekwas Okorie remains its presidential candidate for the election, the ID noted that it has adopted President Goodluck Jonathan, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate in the presidential election, as its candidate.
