Jalingo - Mobile policemen from Adamawa, Bauchi, Benue and Gombe States are now in Taraba for Saturday’ s supplementary election.

Mr Ndasat Jatau, the Commissioner of Police in Taraba, made this known to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), in Jalingo on Thursday.

Jatau said adequate security arrangement had been put in place to ensure a smooth exercise on Saturday.

He said the deployment was part of the security outfits mobilised for the polls.

Jatau said the operatives would not be partisan in the discharge of their duties and were only deployed to ensure the security of lives and property of citizens and election materials in the state.

He warned politicians to play politics according to laid down rules and regulations otherwise they would meet with the full wrath of the law.

It is recalled that INEC rescheduled the governorship election for over 200 polling units across 10 local government areas for Saturday, April 25.

The polls, which took place on April 11, was declared inconclusive by INEC following cancelation of elections in those units adjudged to have been marred by various forms of irregularities.
