Police urge Lagos residents to not panic

Lagos - The Lagos State Police Command has urged all to remain calm and to go back to a life of normalcy, Vanguard reported.

The Public Relations Officer of the command, Kenneth Nwosu called on the people of Lagos to go about their lives without having any fear of violence breaking out.

Speaking at a press conference, Nwosu told journalists that he was responding to reports that there were fears by some, over what the reaction to the announcement of the elections would be.

He assured the people of Lagos that police personnel were being deployed to areas where chaos could break out.
