Makurdi - Rep. John Dyegh of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has retained his seat in the House of Representatives following the release of Saturday's National Assembly polls results in Benue.
Announcing the results on Monday in Makurdi, the Returning Officer for Gboko/Tarka federal constituency, Dr Ogo Ogo, said Dyegh polled 67,463 votes to defeat Bernard Nenge of the PDP with 26,329 votes.

He said the total number of registered voters were 190,068, accredited voters were 83,418, valid votes were 76,780, rejected votes 2,268, while votes cast were 79,048.
The federal constituency covers Gboko and Tarka, two densely populated Local Government councils in the state.
