Port Harcourt - The crisis rocking the Rivers State chapter of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Friday took a dramatic turn as the coalition of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) aspirants for the Rivers State House of Assembly and the Federal House of Representatives rejected  Nyesom Wike as the party's governorship flag bearer of the state, reports Nation.

The coalition in statement on Friday said it did not recognize any gubernatorial candidate in the state due to flaws in the primary elections.

The statement signed by four members of the coalition, Eyaalada Akari, Nature Kieghe,  Francis Ibarakunye and Iheanyichukwu Paul said the PDP in Rivers State does not yet have a gubernatorial candidate or any candidate for any other elective offices except the presidency following the gross fundamental flaws in all other primaries.

The coalition noted that a Wike candidacy poses the greatest risk to PDP.
