Abuja - Vice President Namadi Sambo and the vice presidential candidate of the All progressives Congress, Prof. Yemi Osinbanjo were conspicuously absent vice presidential debates organised by the Nigeria Elections Debate Group (NEDG).
The event, which was aired live on some national TV stations, commenced around 12 p.m on Sunday.
While the the decision of APC to shun the event has been known for several days in advance, the absence of Sambo, who is the running mate to President Goodlick Jonathan came as a surprise to many Nigerians. Also read: Buhari boycotts presidential debate
However, the vice presidential candidates of 10 political parties participated in the debate.
