Abuja - Borno State Governor, Alhaji Kashim Shettima, lashed at allegations by the People¹s Democratic Party Presidential Campaign Organisation (PDPPCO) publicist, Femi Fani-Kayode, the former was involved in the killing of Fannami Gubio.
Gubio, who was killed in 2011, was the Borno State candidate of the All Nigeria People's Party (ANPP) in the elections held the same year.

Shettima, through his Special Adviser on Media, Mallam Isa Gusau, said for linking Shettima to the killing, Fani-Kayode was a dubious liar and a manipulator of facts.
Shettima said the aim to link Shettima with Gubio's killing was to support the ongoing propaganda of the billionaire ex-governor of Borno State, Ali Modu Sheriff, and the PDP to score cheap points ahead of the April 11 governorship elections.
The latest media attack by controversial Chief Femi Fani Kayode issued on Tuesday, March 10, 2015 has once again exposed him as the dubious liar that he was, he is and will forever be, Shettima's spokesperson said.
He said the decided to react to the accusation in order to put the fact right and ensure that Nigerians are not sold a lie that was mischievously conceived and concoction by a mentally immature mind.
Femi Fani-Kayode should know that he speaks for the Presidency and not his ignorant self, he should learn to take very little time to get his facts right. We understand the extent of hatred he has built in his desperate heart for no reason but he should control the hatred and at least say what he can defend not making dubious falsehoods that keep exposing him.
