South-West senators tackle Tinubu over Senate Presidency

Lagos - The All Progressives Congress (APC) senators-elect from the South-West have joined forces with their Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) counterparts from the region to frustrate Bola Tinubu’s candidate for the Senate Presidency, reports Nigerian Pilot.

The senators have vowed to resist Tinubu’s attempt to impose a candidate on them without their inputs.

The senators denied that there is is consensus among them to support Tinubu’s candidate.

Tinubu is championing the candidature of Ahmed Lawan from Yobe state.
