Kaduna - The Jamaatul Nasril Islam, led by the Sultan of Sokoto, Abubakar Sa’ad III, has warned the General Overseer of the Living Faith World Outreach Ministries, Bishop David Oyedepo, to stop heating up the polity ahead of the general elections, reports Punch.
The group noted that Oyedepo should preach peace ahead the general elections rather than fanning the ember of war.Also read: APC blasts Bishop Oyedepo for supporting Jonathan
The group’s Secretary-General, Dr Abubakar Aliyu-Khalid, also warned Niger Delta ex-militants to stop threatening to wage war if President Jonathan loses the February 14 election.
He stated that here was the need for Nigerians to refrain from making inflammatory statements that could jeopardise the polls.
He urged the two leading political parties, the Peoples Democratic Party and the main opposition All Progressives Congress, to abide by the Abuja accord.
