Makurdi - The alleged revelation that the outgoing governor of Benue State, Gabriel Suswam has entered into a secret deal with the All Progressives Congress (APC) is causing ripples within the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), reports Newswatch Times.
The deal will guarantee a soft landing for Suswam when he leaves office on May 29.
The deal will see the governor persuading the PDP’s governorship candidate in the April 11 governorship election in the state, Terhemen Tarzoor, not to challenge the victory of the APC governorship candidate, Samuel Ortom in court.

The PDP accused the governor of trying to destroy the party with the deal.
The party said the governor was only trying to negotiate his way with the APC by frustrating the party from regrouping.
