Maiduguri - Thousands of supporters of the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Muhammadu Buhari on Monday came out en masse during his presidential campaign rally in Borno state.
The popular Ramat Square in Maiduguri, event of the rally, was full to the brim despite the fact that the city has been the stronghold of Boko Haram insurgents.
The rally is being attended by the state governor, Gov Kashim Shettima and other party leaders from across the country.

The Borno State government had earlier declared Monday a public holiday to enable residents participate in the rally.
