Osogbo - A newly elected lawmaker into the Osun State House of Assembly from Ife East Constituency, Akinwole Akinwale, was on Monday attacked by political thugs in Osogbo, the Osun State capital, reports Punch.
The incident happened after he received his Certificate of Return from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Akinwale was about leaving the INEC office when the miscreants waylaid him and prevented him from leaving the venue.

He was, however, rescued from the thugs after people intervened.
Akinwale later accused a former commissioner from Ife of sponsoring the attack.
