Lagos – The national leader of the All Progressive Congress(APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu has asked that the electoral commission (INEC) to extend the time frame for voting.

The leader of the opposition said that due to the difficulties faced by voters at the various polling units, ending voting by 4pm will be unrealistic and unfair to the people.

He made this statement to the press after casting his vote at the Alausa Central Business District.

Tinubu said that INEC had their integrity to protect by making the elections credible and in the process not put the voting populace under any kind of stress.

When News24 Nigeria visited various polling units in different parts of Lagos, issues ranging from malfunctioning card readers to absence of card readers and the absence of INEC officials at the unit where amongst the popular ones.
