Tinubu denies apologizing to George

2015-04-29 12:25

Lagos - Former governor of Lagos State and national leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu has denied apologizing to the former deputy national chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Bode George over his incarceration for alleged contract splitting, reports Punch.

Tinubu noted that he never apologised to George since he had nothing to do with his incarceration.

Tinubu was reacting to claims by George that he had forgiven Tinubu for his alleged role in sending him, George to prison.

Tinubu in a statement by his media adviser, Sunday Dare, said George’s account of their meeting at the burial of Azeez Arisekola- Alao in 2014 was a twist of the facts.

He said although they both met at Arisekola-Alao’s burial, their conversation had nothing to do with an apology.

He stated that he only greeted George after some dignitaries urged him to greet George who he had earlier ignored.
