Lagos - United States Vice-President, Joe Biden has stated that the US government were ready and more than willing to work with President-elect, Muhammadu Buhari.

Biden made this known during a phone-call to the incumbent president.
Biden made the call to firstly congratulate Buhari on his victory in the presidential elections and to assure him that the US were ready to expand their collaboration with Nigeria regarding security and economic matters.
Biden said that the US would support Nigeria against the threat of Boko Haram and are willing to work closely to strengthen the economy.
