Lagos - Low turnout of voters for the accreditation exercise was recorded at the Apapa area of Lagos State.
Several units visited by our correspondent observed many of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) officials sitting down idle waiting for voters to show up for accreditation.
Some of the officials who spoke with our correspondent noted that the turn out has been low compared with the turnout during the March 28 presidential and National Assembly elections .
They stated that the stress the voters went through during the March 28 could be responsible for the low turnout.
Most of the units have barely accredited 200 voters as at noon.

The situation in other units in Apapa was not different.
The INEC officials said they hope many voters will still show up for accreditation before the exercise ends .
Accreditation of voters is expected to end by 1.30pm
