We'll gladly welcome Gbemi Saraki: APC

2015-03-17 09:00

Abuja - The Kwara State branch of the All Progressives Congress (APC) revealed on Monday that they would gladly receive People's Democratic Party (PDP) governorship aspirant Senator Gbemi Saraki, should she decide to defect from the PDP to the APC.

Alhaji Sulyman Buhari, Kwara APC Publicity Secretary, said in an interview that Saraki's defection would be a welcomed development for his party, PUNCH has reported.

Although the move has not been made official yet, rumours have been circulating that the PDP Senator will soon defect due to ill treatment on the party of the PDP.

PDP Secretary Alhaji Hassan Razaq has revealed, however, that the ruling party is trying its best to prevent Saraki from defecting.

Razaq has revealed that his party does not feel that the move would be good for Saraki's career, given the time and energy she has invested into the ruling party.
