Why card readers failed

Abuja - The Independent National Electoral Commission has disclosed the reasons for the card readers malfunctioning, which caused delays during the elections, Naij reported.

The main reason for the card readers malfunctioning according to INEC was because wokers failed to remove the protective film on the lens of the equipment.

Also that the devices failed to read the biometric data of voters wanting to cast their votes.

Of the effected, President Goodluck Jonathan was included in experience difficulties when attempting to vote in his hometown of Otuoke, Bayelsa state.

According to reports, President Jonathan tried unsuccessfully with the help of electoral officials to cast his vote.
