Gusau - Gov. Abdulaziz Yari of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has been re-elected as governor of Zamfara State, reports Vanguard.
He won Saturday’s governorship election in the state with a landslide.
He garnered a total vote of 716 964 to defeat his closest rival, Mamuda Shinkafi of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), who scored 201 938 votes.

Incidentally, Shinkafi is Yari’s father in-law.
The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) candidate and National Secretary of the party, Sani Shinkafi polled a total of 2 385 votes to come third.
