Ibadan - The Yoruba Council of Elders (YCE) has denied endorsing President Goodluck Jonathan for a second term, reports Vanguard.
The Council said the appearance of its National President, Brig- Gen. Adeyinka Adebayo (rtd), at a post- national conference summit in Ibadan should not be mistaken for an endorsement of Jonathan in the March 28 presidential election.

The Council noted that Adebayo attended the meeting because the theme was centred on the Yoruba agenda.
Bayo Olateju, the Assistant National Secretary of YCE, who spoke on behalf of the elders, noted that the group has not shifted from its initial position that it would not enmesh itself in the murky waters of politics by endorsing any of the candidates.
