AMAA postpones award till June

Lagos - The Africa Movie Academy Awards have said that the event will now hold in June, reports Pulse.ng

This years Africa Movie Academy Awards entry  which closes tomorrow  on January 31 will hold its  nomination party in April.

The event was shifted in honour of the late Mr. Michael Anyiam-Osigwe, the elder brother of the founder of the awards who passed on recently.

AMAA’s Director of Administration. Tony Anih, said in a statement, that Michael had been a great pillar of support for AMAA since its inception.

 He said that they  had to change the date from the traditional month to April to June to allow AMAA prepare and respond to the current realities.
