Lagos - Biodun Abe has been appointed as the new director of the Abuja Carnival by the federal government, reports The Nation
Abe, is a deputy director with the National Theatre, Iganmu Lagos, and was until his appointment in charge of events and management at the Theatre.
He had in the past designed Abuja Carnival floats for some participating states.

Abe is entrusted with the responsibility of redefining the Abuja Carnival which in recent times had lost its original scope.
The carnival was begun about 10 years ago by the federal government to promote tourism in Nigeria.
The Carnival is usually held on the last week in November.
