Port Harcourt – Nollywood has been encouraged by the governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, to be good ambassadors of Nigeria by applying professionalism in making movies.
The governor made this request on Sunday night through the commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Nnabuihe Imegwu, at a dinner organised for nominees of the Best of Nollywood Awards 2013.
According to Vanguard Imegwu said that Nollywood portrays everyday Nigerian life and is capable of representing the country anywhere in the world.
Segun Arinze, John Okafor, Adaora Ukoh, Fathia Balogun, Eniola Badmus and Foluke Daramola were some of the popular Nollywood stars at the dinner.
