Abuja - Nigerian Breweries presented a cheque of N10 million and a car to Denis Okike, the winner of Gulder Ultimate Search at the Le'Meridian Ibom Hotel and Golf Resort.
Nigerian Breweries has hailed the growth of its popular Gulder Ultimate Search television competition over the years.
“The launch of the Gulder Ultimate Search in 2004 (sic), the contest has evolved over the years and the competition have shown strength, mental agility, resilience, team spirit, leadership and the ability to solve problems,” the managing director of Nigerian Breweries, Nicolas Dele, said during an event to reward the ultimate winner of this year’s competition.
He presented the cheque of N10 million and a car to Denis Okike, the winner of tenth edition of the competition.
Dele also presented gold medals and N1 million to each participant of the reality television show.
Speaking during the award presentation ceremony, he thanked State Governor Godswill Akpabio for the hospitality accorded to the competitors.
The governor commended the organisers for staging the event back to back in Usaka community in Akwa Ibom state.
He said the event was in confirmation that the state remained the ultimate location to search for hidden talent
The governor noted that through such programs the youths could be encouraged to pursue their dreams and applauded the participants in the Gulder Ultimate Search for showing strength in Usaka community.
He urged the winner to be a role model to other Nigerians and a pride to the nation and the Nigerian Brewery Plc., which sponsored the event.
“The contribution of the Gulder Ultimate Search competition was worth celebrating and other bodies to emulate the gesture to enable the youths display their ability, agility, show strength and commitment and above all be empowered.”
