Lagos - Lancelot Imaseun’s 'Invasion 1897' will be screened at the British Film Institute on African Odysseys.
The screening is scheduled to hold on on February 7, 2015 with director of the movie Lancelot Imaseun and members of the cast in attendance.
The film which first premiered in London on August 16, 2014 has been nominated at the 2015 African Magic Viewers Choice Awards(AMVCA).
Invasion 1897 chronicles the vivid accounts of the infamous British Punitive Expedition to Benin, Nigeria.

The expedition led to killings, destruction, looting thousands of artifacts, and deposition of the last King of Africa: Oba Ovonramwen of the Great Benin Empire.
