Dance is the main thing for breast cancer month

Lagos - As part of its annual breast cancer awareness, the Inspired Women Of Worth iWOW aims to raise healthy lifestyle awareness through a Zumbathon-that dancing Zumba for hours, reports Bellanaija

The reason for the Zumbathon is to promote the fact that physical activity plays an important role in balancing hormone levels, so it can directly reduce breast cancer risk.

The Zumbathon this year is coordinated by a team led by Dr. Nonye Barroe, Nene Rasheed-Olaoluwa and Taiye Aluko.

The event is expected to host approximately 300 men and women who will be dancing because they care about breast cancer.

Celebrities that have attended either iWOW Charity Balls or Zumbathon events have included Genevieve Nnaji, Onyeka Onwenu, Rita Dominic, Ego Boyo, Frank Edoho, Betty Irabor, Naeto C, Julius Agu, MI, Weird MC and Wana Wana.

October is breast cancer month.
