Don Jazzy joins world stars to sing for children

20 November 2014, 11:08

Lagos - Don Jazzy will join the likes of Katy Perry, Will.i.am, Angelique Kidjo, Daniela Mercury, Priyanka Chopra and Idris Elba at the United Nations headquarters as part of  the UN’s  celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Convention on the Rights of the Child,
The artists will be performing ex-Beattle star, John Lennon’s Imagine.

Donjazzy shared pictures of himself at the UN headquarters on his Instagram page and made the announcement of his participation.

“Would be performing alongside some great world musicians at the UN-GA tomorrow, for the UNICEF #Imagine campaign” he wrote.

The United Nations Children Emergency Fund(UNICEF)  enlisted the star roster to record versions of the Lennon classic for a downloadable “#IMAGINE” app.

"Imagine" is a song written and performed by the English musician, its lyrics encourage the listener to imagine a world at peace without the barriers of borders or the divisiveness of religions and nationalities, and to consider the possibility that the focus of humanity should be living a life unattached to material possessions.
