Ebola: Nollywood opposes resumption date for schools

Lagos - Some members of the Nigerian film industry, Nollywood have rejected the September 22nd resumption date for schools in the country, reports Pulse.ng

The film stars on Tuesday held a rally in Ikeja, to educate the public on the dreaded Ebola virus.

The rally was also used to oppose the resumption date for schools.

Celebrities present for the rally include 'Folake Daramola, Saidi Balogun' and Jide Kosoko.

Jide Kosoko, said that school toilets were in bad conditions and children could easily be infected.

The Federal Government insists that the September 22 resumption date for primary and secondary schools in the country would not be extended.

The Nigerian Medical Association, as well as other professional bodies have called for the extension of the resumption date for primary and secondary schools until the country is free of the the Ebola Virus Disease, EVD.
