Milan - This year's MTV EMAs, sponsored by Smirnoff in partnership with Expo 2015, promise a night of musical mayhem on a truly epic scale.
Award-winning singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran together with actress Ruby Rose are set to host the awards - one of the biggest events in the global music calendar - from Milan, Italy.
Featuring the hottest artists from around the world, including man of the moment Pharrell Williams, Jason Derulo, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, James Bay, Justin Bieber, Jess Glynne, Tori Kelly, Ellie Goulding, Rudimental, twenty one pilots, Mark Ronson, Ashley Benson and girl group Fifth Harmony, the MTV EMAs will be broadcast live on Sunday 25 October at 21:00 CAT.
Africa's most celebrated contemporary artists, including South Africa's Supa Mega - AKA, Nigerians Yemi Alade and Davido, Ivory Coast’s DJ Arafat, as well Tanzania's very own hit maker Diamond Platnumz were nominated for Best African Act, and Diamond won it, now going up against Best India Act Priyanka Chopra.
Legendary Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli will also perform for the first time ever at the EMAs and will follow the global release of his new album Cinema on 23 October on Sugar Music/Universal Music Group. With over 85 million albums sold worldwide, Bocelli is the most successful classical artist of all time, and has had the honour of performing live for Presidents, Popes and Royal Families all over the world.

The MTV EMAs will be broadcast live across the globe and on MTV (DStv channel 130) on Sunday 25 October at 21:00 CAT.
