Lagos – Nigeria’s Half of a Yellow Sun, won the top award at the Zanzibar International Film Festival (ZIFF) in Tanzania, reports The Nation
The movie also enjoyed it’s first African premiere at the film festival, after the Nigerian censor board prevented the film from screening in Nigeria.
ZIFF is an annual celebration of the arts and cultures of the African Continent, India, Pakistan, the Gulf States, Iran and the Indian Ocean islands, known as Dhow Countries.
