Lagos - Nollywood actor Jim Iyke has issued a public apology over insensitive statements he made on his social media pages about the Ebola Virus, reports Bellanaija.
The movie star posted a photo of himself wearing a mask and leaving Monrovia, Liberia amid the Ebola outbreak, saying that he was scared of catching the virus in Liberia.

In the press release Jim Iyke said that his statement about Ebola was taken out of context.
He also said that he was praying for everyone who lost their lives or loved ones and those who are still bravely fighting the disease.

He also stated that as he constantly travels across continents, most recently USA, Senegal, Liberia, Ghana, Gambia that he is always screened along with the other passengers.
