Kanye West's LA home burgled

14 June 2012, 15:23

Los Angeles - Kanye West has been burgled.

Police were called to the Stronger rapper's home in Los Angeles on Wednesday by one of his entourage, who is staying there while he is on tour in the UK.

According to TMZ.com there was "evidence the thieves dropped some of Kanye's possessions on the way out".

It is not known what, if anything, has been taken from the house.

A Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said: "I can confirm there was a burglary."

Up for sale

Officer Bruce Borihahn added to the Los Angeles times newspaper the attempted burglary took place at around 06:30 at the rapper's home on Fareholm Drive.

He added: "The owner wasn't home at the time, and it is unknown if any property was taken.''

Kanye is currently in Birmingham, England, in the middle of his Watch the Throne co-headlining tour with Jay-Z.

Kanye recently put the home, in the Hollywood Hills area of Los Angeles, up for sale, sparking rumours he was to move in with girlfriend Kim Kardashian.

Although the price hasn't been made public, when he previously tried to sell the three-bedroom house in 2010, it was listed for $3 995 000.
