Kesha slated for drinking her own urine

23 May 2013, 16:47

Los Angeles - Kesha has been slammed for drinking her own urine in My Crazy Beautiful Life.

The Die Young singer is to be seen consuming her pee in an episode of the MTV reality show set to air next Tuesday, prompting the wrath of the Parent Television Council [PTC] in America.

In a letter to supporters, the PTC calls the pop star's actions "disgusting, vile content".

The statement adds: "Why should we have to pay for this kind of garbage just so we can get access to Discovery, Disney, or the Golf channel? It's outrageous - and it shouldn't be that way."

The letter goes on to argue cable providers should allow customers to pick and choose which channels they subscribe to.

'Trying to be healthy'

Kesha has previously sought to defend her actions, saying: "I was told drinking my own pee was good, I was trying to be healthy.

"Somebody tried to take my pee away from me and I said, 'That is mine!' So I snatched it up and took a chug and it was really gross, so I don't do it anymore."

Kesha says the bitter tasting bodily fluid didn't appear to have many health benefits and she has now learned her lesson and won't be trying it again.

She added: "I wouldn't recommend it. And I don't think it really did anything very beneficial to me so, yeah, I wouldn't probably do it again."
