Kim Kardashian dodges sex tape ex

03 October 2012, 10:28

Los Angeles - Kim Kardashian narrowly avoided an encounter with her ex-boyfriend Ray J.

The 31-year-old socialite sneaked out of Prime 112 restaurant in Miami on Sunday to avoid an embarrassing run-in with the R&B singer whose sex tape helped launch her career when it was leaked in 2007.

A source told the New York Post newspaper: '"Kim and Kris Jenner posed for pictures in front of the restaurant to allow Kourtney and son Mason to sneak out the side entrance unnoticed.

"And just by a few moments, Kim missed Ray J, who was seen entering the restaurant to meet a large group of friends including boxer Floyd Mayweather."

Kim and Kanye 'cooling off'

Bruce Jenner, Kris, Kim, Kourtney, Khloe and Kylie were enjoying a family dinner at the steak eatery to commemorate the nine-year anniversary of Kim's father Robert Kardashian's death.

The curvy reality star gave away their location by tweeting the family's whereabouts, causing a swarm of press to descend on the restaurant and creating a welcome distraction when she learnt Ray J would be arriving.

Another source told the paper that things between Kim and her new beau Kanye West are "cooling off" because "he's getting tired of the constant press and promotion. He's not as tight with her as he was".

The rapper has been spending time apart from Kim while she films scenes for Keeping Up With The Kardashians and is currently in Paris for Fashion Week.
