Lagos to host Africa beauty exhibition

17 August 2015, 15:12

Lagos - Local and international experts in the cosmetics industry are set to converge in Lagos in October to discuss advancements in the sector.

The three day-meeting will be held under the auspices of the Beauty Africa Exhibition & Conference at the Eko International Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The event will unveil the latest body contouring and skin tightening techniques as part of the conference demonstrations.

According to organizers, the conference speakers will host simultaneous hour-long live demonstrations which will showcase the very latest techniques and methods in the field of skincare, make up and hair. They will utilise live models, and reveal the most recent practices within the Nigerian beauty industry.

“I will perform a skincare and body tightening demonstration. It will outline how traditional products can help preserve the skin’s youth and vitality without the need to spend too much on expensive cosmetic procedures” says Joan Okorodudu, proprietress at Lagos Ageless Clinic, who will be among the speakers.

Okorodudu is scheduled to demonstrate non-invasive enhancing techniques.

“The wonderful thing about non-invasive techniques is that there are no side effects or harmful consequences. The benefits and results are very satisfactory and are at a much lower cost than invasive techniques.

"This procedure is not limited to individuals with a particular skin type or complexion. Anyone can benefit from this procedure and enjoy the outcome,” highlighted Okorodudu.

The non-invasive body shaping and skin tightening demonstration will take place on the second day of the conference and will involve a full body wax, complete scrub of the body, with a traditional salt oil scrub and will end with skin rejuvenation technique.

The Beauty Africa Exhibition & Conference is scheduled for October 7-9.
