Lagos - Some 35 budding filmmakers are poised to benefit from a training session industry expert, Chris Ihidero, will conduct in Lagos next month.
The Lagos-based project, named ‘Chris Ihidero’s Story Story’, is organised in partnership with the British Council as part of an effort to help young and established writers, producers and directors improve their skills.
Ihidero said the mission was to prepare participants for opportunities that extend edtheir enhanced skills by servicing the industry with better storytelling.
"This is not a screenwriting workshop or script clinic but a capacity development workshop for practicing creative professionals to improve on structural storytelling-a skill that’s essential in a lot of ways,” said Ihidero.
According to organisers, Chris Ihidero’s Story Story is an intervention capacity development workshop series that is aimed at helping professionals in the Nigerian creative industry reawaken their ability to tell better stories, accurately by highlighting engaging principles that make a story alluring to the audience.
Participation is drawn from creative practitioners who are already telling stories through advertising, screenwriting, audio-visual content producers, content directors, drama series producers, digital marketing consultants, Public Relations experts, feature editors and brand managers.
The workshop will be held on October 27-29.
