Lindsay Lohan gets new tattoo

16 October 2013, 12:54

New York - Lindsay Lohan has got a new tattoo.

The 27-year-old actress added to her array of body ink on Sunday when she had New York City artist Staino mark her upper arm, just above the crook of her elbow.

Lindsay posted a black-and-white photograph documenting the moment on her Instagram account, but the details of the tattoo remain a secret as the artist's hands appear to cover his work.

The Mean Girls star is pictured head down in the snapshot - appearing to wince in pain as Staino's tattoo pen sears into her flesh.

Quote-loving Lindsay has many inscriptions inked on various parts of her body and she is particularly fond of sayings made famous by her idol, Hollywood legend Marilyn Monroe.

The actress has two Marilyn quotes on her arms, including the phrase; "Stars, all we ask for is our right to twinkle", which sits near her latest inking.

Her other arm bears the phrase: "I restore myself when I'm alone".

Meanwhile, Lindsay, who left rehab after a 90-day court-ordered stint in early August, appears to be making the most of having her cell phone back as she recently signed up to dating app, Tinder.

The actress posted a screenshot of a potential suitor's profile on her Instagram account last week, captioning the picture: "look who I just found on @tinderapp ... hey bro (sic)".
