Mariam Elisha: What I look for in men, life

02 September 2013, 16:02

Abuja - Former Miss Valentine Nigeria Mariam Elisha has opened up about her burgeoning career in fashion and what she looks for in her dream man.

In an interview with Vanguard Elisha revealed she has left pageantry behind for good, opting to focus on the success of her clothing line Rikaoto and her magazine Urban Style.

“I think I’m done with pageant (sic) for now,” Elisha said.

“I naturally love to see people dress well and wear good clothes. I wanted to be that kind of person that could make such clothes people need when they have occasions or other social events to attend.”

“It (Urban Style) is about fashion and style. And as a fashion crazy person, I decided to do something that would celebrate the works of the fashion designers, showcasing fashion and style in a different way.”

Elisha said she welcomes the challenge of balancing two careers.

“No work is easy as my mom would always tell me,” she said.

Elisha also opened up about the dream man she hopes to find while juggling her dual career.

“I want to marry a God-fearing man, because I always dream of making heaven. I don’t care whether he’s tall, handsome or rich. As long as he has the fear of God in him and has respect for womanhood, I will marry the person. He must take me for who I am.”
