NCC confiscates pirated works worth N10billion

Lagos - The National CopyRight Commission, NCC  has revealed that in fighting piracy it recently confiscated pirated works worth N10billion, reports The Nation.

This was confirmed by the the Lagos zonal Director of the NCC  Chris Nkwocha who was debunking  the claim that the Commission is doing nothing concerning the recent piracy of some notable movies at Alaba market in Lagos.

He said that the Commission has just confiscated about 20 containers of pirated works which include books, musical works and films at the point of entry.

Nkwocha  also said that the commission has about 173 cases of piracy in various courts throughout the country .

According to him in Feburary the commission arrested Samuel Oluchukwu Eze for allegedly pirating, ‘Tango with Me’, ‘Phone Swap’ and ‘Onye Ozi’ , and despited the challenges planned to fight piracy with the help of the public
