New 24-hour Hip TV channel on DSTV

05 September 2013, 12:33

Abuja - The 24-hour urban music and lifestyle channel Hip TV will soon be launching on DSTV, the CEO of Smooth Productions said.

Ayo Animashaun of Smooth Productions, the owners of the channel, said the realisation of the channel is a dream come true, Nigerian Entertainment Today reports.

“For many years, we have nurtured our own idea of how entertainment, music and lifestyle programming should be,” he said.

“It’s not time for so much talk but time to walk the walk and we are very excited about the huge opportunity to be in millions of homes, not only in Nigeria but across the continent.”

Hip TV was launched in its current format as broadcast platform for HipHop World Magazine in 2007.

“We are confident we will bring something refreshing to the table,” Animashaun said of the new 24-hour format.
