Nigeria launches first telenovela

Lagos - Fast rising Nollywood star, Blossom Chukwujekwu and top Nigerian model, Makida Moka, are the stars in Nigeria’s first Telenovela titled  Taste of Love, reports PMNews.

Chukwujekwu and Moka play love struck people drama series, produced locally and set to start airing on terrestrial, cable, satellite, digital and mobile TV from October.

According to producers the Telenovela is shot on locations in Ilorin, Ibadan and Lagos, and revolves around three major families: the Musa-Phillips’, Pepples’ and Rhodes’ families.

It is set during the  military era of the 90s in Nigeria, depicting friendship, betrayal and hatred amongst rival Sugarcane plantation families.

Chukwujekwu was profiled on AfricaMagic’s Jara, as one of the top five actors to watch out for in 2013.

Moka was the first winner of the Face of Sleek competition in 2009, features in ongoing hit web series Gidi-Up
