Lagos - Popular actor cum film maker, Yemi Ayebo popularly known as Yemi My Lover has stated that filmmakers are poor because of piracy, reports Radar
The actor who is set to premier his new movie, Iskilu said that he hopes to make return on investments from the film which cost N3million to make.
He also said that poor supply of electricity and piracy are killing the film business in Nigeria.
The actor who has spent 25 years in the industry said that finance at times is also a challenge.

He said that the law against piracy is so flexible and weak, because it attracts just a little fine for pirating jobs of millions of naira.
According to him if the law recommends a jail term or heavy fine to the tune of N20 million or more, no one will want to pirate other people’s jobs again.
