Lagos - Nkiru Sylvanus has been named as acting director general of Imo’s upcoming film academy, reports Daily Post.
The academy is part of measures to promote the identity and cultural heritage of the Igbos by the Imo State Governor, Owelle Rochas Okorocha.
The actress who was a former special adviser in the state will be making a return to Imo’s corridor of power.

Okorocha made this known when Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN) members paid him a courtesy call at the Government House, Owerri.
Governor Okorocha assured the actors of the quick commencement of the Film Academy.
Nkiru Sylvanus’s new role means that she has the oversight functions of finance and other logistics for the academy.
