Nollywood fight scenes get a face lift

14 January 2015, 15:20Obidike Okafor

Lagos - Nollywood is getting a needed shot in the arm for its fight scene (which has generally been poorly done) in the short film titled ‘Fight Scene'

Shot entirely on location in Abuja, the teaser trailer has been released in anticipation of the film which premieres on Youtube, Thursday, January 15.

According to the director Korede ‘Korexcalibur’ Taiwo who spoke to News24Nigeria, the high production value and intense visuals involved is to set a bar for other Nollywood action flicks too follow.

‘Fight Scene’ is a six minutes depiction of two gunmen going at each other unrelentingly, and was shot in one day after about one month of rehearsals.

He also revealed that a longer ‘Fight Scene 2’ will be premiering in cinemas before the end of 2015.

Steering into the future, Korede said that his production company  hopes to shoot two action feature films between 2015 and 2016.
