OLX catches the happiness bug

Lagos - The happiness bug created by American musician Pharell Williams through his hit track Happy, has bitten OLX.

Individuals and and companies in Nigeria and around the world have tapped into the positive and infectious vibe of the song to reach millions of people.

With the launch of OLX Makes Me Happy campaign, and the OLX Connects Show, the free classifieds site has officially joined the joy train.

The official launch of these new additions to OLX was held on Tuesday in Lagos, and featured the special airing of testimonial videos of Nigerians who used the OLX site to either buy or sell or advertise their services.

The event had winners of the OLX Makes Me Happy Competition where participants were asked to record, their own versions of videos of Pharrell’s Happy song.

OLX took a new route by launching a radio show that will connect the public to OLX via the air waves, with Chioma Okpala playing host.

 OLX, founded in March 2006, is an international classifieds service used in more than 90 countries and 40 languages and has more than 150 employees across offices in South Africa, Argentina, USA, Russia, China, Brazil and India.
