PIC: The moment Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox met

21 July 2015, 08:54

Cape Town – Caitlyn Jenner and Laverne Cox finally met in real life!

After constant contact with one another a private screening of I Am Cait finally brought the gorgeous duo together.

The 31-year-old actress shared their special meeting in a snap on Instagram with the caption: "@caitlynjenner and I finally met in person at a special private advance screening of #IAmCait. #TransIsBeautiful #girlslikeus #caitlynjenner (sic)."

She went on to share a pic of her, Caitlyn and the rest of the guests at the screening.

She captioned the picture: "Fun with #girlslikeus tonight at the screening of #IAmCait @tracelysette @candiscayne @smartassjen @zackarydrucker #MimiMarks #TransIsBeautiful )sic)."

E! News reported the two had wanted to meet for quite some time following Caitlyn’s transition.

Laverne spared no filter in emphasizing how proud she was of Caitlyn’s journey, she said: "I was deeply moved by About Bruce and Caitlyn's family's very real struggle with this change and the deep love and devotion that they have for Caitlyn was deeply moving."

She also highlighted Caitlyn in her blog saying, "Yes, Caitlyn looks amazing and is beautiful but what I think is most beautiful about her is her heart and soul, the ways she has allowed the world into her vulnerabilities.

"The love and devotion she has for her family and that they have for her. Her courage to move past denial into her truth so publicly. These things are beyond beautiful to me."

We’re happy they were finally able to make it happen.
