Lagos - Nigerian dancehall act, Patoranking has been named the African Artiste of the Year at the 2015 Vodafone Ghana Music Award (VGMA).
The awards ceremony took place at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) in Ghana on Saturday, April 11.
The Twitter handle of the VGMA made the announcement of this Nigerian triumph in Ghana.
The singer beat South African rapper, AKA; Daimond Platnumz from Tanzania, Tiwa Savage, Mavins and Yemi Alade to the award.

He won the 2014 Next rated Award at the Headies, a prize which was a spring board to the careers of Davido and Wizkid.
He also said that no one knew him now will believe that he used to sell rat poison and do bricklaying.
