Lagos - Award winning filmmaker, Kunle Afolayan, is pleading with Nigerians not to buy pirated copies of October1
Nigerian film pirates recently released illegal copies of Kunle Afolayan's 2014 hit movie 'October 1'.
They had earlier threatened to release Kunle's movie 'October 1'., and the threats led to the controversial tweet by Kunle, accusing the Ibos of being responsible for piracy in Nigeria.

On April 13 the Filmmaker took to his Instagram page to alert fans that pirated copies of the movie are being sold on the streets of Lagos.
Kunle also pleaded with fans not to patronize the sellers.
